CEO and Business Development Director:

Péter Ferdinandy, MD, PhD, Dsc, MBA, clinical pharmacologist

Peter Ferdinandy received an MD diploma in 1991 and a PhD degree in 1995. He became a registered clinical pharmacologist in 1999, and obtained DSc degree of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2004. He completed MBA studies in Finance and Quality Management in 2004 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He worked for 2 years at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, as a postdoctoral fellow of MRC Canada. He was the head of the Cardiovascular Projects at Biorex Co (a partner of Abbott), a US-Hungarian biotech company, and consulted preclinical and clinical pharmacological projects for several pharmaceutical companies all over the world in the last 20 years. Currently he is a professor of biochemistry and clinical pharmacology, head of the Cardiovascular Research Group, Department of Biochemistry, University of Szeged (for further details, see www.cardiovasc.com). He published over 100 papers in international peer-reviewed journals with over 400 impact factors and 2500 citations. He is member of the editorial boards of Br J Pharmacol, J Mol Cell Cardiol, and J Pharmacol Toxicol Methods, and the president-elect of the International Society for Heart Research, European Section.



Scientific Director:


Tamás Csont, MD, PhD

Tamás Csont received an MD diploma in 1996 and a PhD degree in 2000 at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He worked for 2.5 years at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, as a postdoctoral fellow of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. Currently he is an assistant professor at the Cardiovascular Research Group, Department of Biochemistry, University of Szeged, Hungary (for further details, see www.cardiovasc.com); and holds a "Bolyai János Fellowship" of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He published over 50 papers in international peer-reviewed journals with a cumulative impact factor over 200 and citations over 400.




 
Clinical and Marketing Director:

Eszter Fodor, MD, clinical pharmacologist, pediatrician

Eszter Fodor received an MD diploma in 1982. She became a registered Pediatrician in 1988, Certified Physician of Health Economy and Management in 1997, and a registered Clinical Pharmacologist in 2003. She worked as a pediatrician for 11 years and as a sport medicine specialist for 2 years. She than became a sales representative of Richter Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi-Chinoin for 4 years. She joined Quintiles, a world-wide CRO in 1997 as a clinical monitor and became a clinical reseach manager of 10 clinical monitors in 2000. She joined Sanofi-Aventis as clinical team leader from 2007-2009 and became the clinical director of Pharmahungary. She managed more than 50 clinical studies (from phase I to phase IV) from start-up to closure in a wide range of therapeutic indications such as cardiovasular, diabetes, psychiatry, neurology, pediatrics, urology, oncology, gastroenterology, infectology, and dermatology. Her projects successfully passed several FDA, EMEA, MOCK, and other independent audits.



 
Director of Technology Development and Quality Control:

Csaba Csonka, MD, PhD

Csaba Csonka received an MD diploma in 1996 and a PhD degree in 2000 at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He received an MSc diploma of Biomedical Engineering in 2002 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He worked for 2 years at the Institute for Molecular Pharmacology, Berlin, Germany as a postdoctoral fellow. Currently he is an assistant professor at the Cardiovascular Research Group, Department of Biochemistry, University of Szeged, Hungary (for further details, see www.cardiovasc.com); and holds a "Bolyai János Fellowship" of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He published over 40 papers in international peer-reviewed journals with a cumulative impact factor over 100 and citations over 300.
